KSM started its journey during early 1990s as a trading place for commercial business purpose. But before that it was known as Alam Nagar Dockyard. From the name one can easily guess that the management was related to building and constructing of water vehicles like steel structure of medium sized river boats and trawlers. Alam Nagar Dockyard was established during 1965 and renowned in water vehicular transportation sector for next 30 years.

 

At present KSM now has few buildings which are adjacent next to each other and rented to different businesses in the same order like it was rented out for first time. All the building's bottom two floors are suitable for show rooms and top three floors are rented by small to medium local factories.

The current active committee is working hard in order to give support all these tradespersons’ and businesses. In near future Modern and advanced business services will be introduced. To make this enterprise more business friendly the committee is thinking to rent out the third floor (which is 20,000 square feet) also to different vendors and dealers.
